Recycle Building Expansion with Mezzanine
Redhawk Metal Buildings was chosen to supply and erect the 22,500 sf expansion for Alter Trading, a worldwide leader in scrap metal recycling. The entire expansion is comprised of connected single slope buildings, and includes a 2,250 sf second story/mezzanine that houses employee locker rooms, offices, and training rooms. The ceiling and walls are fully lined with steel liner panel, with 50’ clear heights. The roof is a composite standing seam roof system with B-Deck.
The main challenge of this expansion was to erect the building simultaneous to the recycle equipment installation. With the addition of this reclamation facility, Alter Trading can now recover usable metals onsite, rather than shipping multiple truckloads per week to other plants.
