Vincent Barn & Ag Program
The Vincent High School Barn and Agricultural Learning Center is a dedicated facility designed to support hands-on agricultural education. Located separately from the main campus, the main structure is a clear span horse barn with translucent panels along the eaves to maximize natural lighting. Custom-sized doors accommodate a diverse range of farm animals, ensuring functional access. Adjacent to the barn, at a lower eave height, is a classroom building designed for a focus on agricultural education.
The facility also includes two expansive below-eave canopies, providing essential shaded areas for horses and students. Both buildings were designed without interior columns, allowing for unobstructed use of space, and clad in Reverse-R metal panels with a standing seam roof. Throughout the project, multiple value-engineered solutions were implemented to transition from an initial design that exceeded the school system’s budget to a final build that met financial constraints while delivering a functional agricultural learning environment.
